Educational Programs & Annual Seminar
FAPTP serves as an educational resource for pediatric hematology/oncology concerns, including cancer, hemophilia, and sickle cell disease. Our nationally-attended conference on childhood cancer and blood disorders "Advances in Pediatric Hematology/Oncology," is now in its 49th year.
The seminar provides continuing education for healthcare professionals and a forum to discuss treatment and supportive care issues with nationally renowned experts. Participants from outside of Florida consistently comprise more than half of the total attendance, demonstrating the national recognition of the seminar.
FAPTP Centers throughout Florida provide a variety of services in their communities as well, with staff members offering education and support to patients, parents, and medical professionals.
